Hey help me with this question :o
A body moving with constant accelertion and starting from rest covers 9m in the eighth second. Find the acceleration

Hi babi_gurl

You need to use the suvat equation s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^2

You can rearrange this for a and then put in your values for u, t and s.

u=0m/s s=9m t=8s
s=ut+1/2at^2
so to make a the subject,
a= (s-ut) divide by 1/2t^2
a= (9-0x8)/0.5x8^2
a=9/32
so hence, a= 0.28ms^-2
