Convert this equation to the standard from for a parabola:


4p(y-y_1) =(x-x_1)^2


This will give you the vertex (x1,y1), the focus (which is a distance p from the vertex, inside the parabola), and the directrix (a line that is also a distance p from the vertex, but on the outside of the parabola). Post back with your answer and we'll check it for you.
