I have a trane xr80 furnace installed in the attic of a two story home. The furnace is making noises in between cycles that are similar to an ice maker on a refigerator. The furnace appears to be working and there is no water in the pan underneath.

The furnace light constantly blinks without stopping. I have no manuals and am unsure of the warranty as I have only lived here for 10 months. Please advise...

Are you operating unit in cooling or heating mode when hearing this noise ?
