I have a 1982 chevy C/K 1500 V8, 305
I just replaced the fuel pump, and I cannot get the truck to run.
When the carburetor is full of fuel, it will catch and run until that fuel is out. After that though, it will not catch.
I checked the hard lines from the tank to the pump and I have no fuel, or from the pump to the carburetor the line is dry, even when I replaced the pump, I put fuel in it.. thinking this would prime it.

Should I blow the line out? What am I missing?

Thanks!

Replace the fuel filter inside the carburetor. If necessary, use air to ensure the fuel line is open, which it likely is. I've seen new mechanical pumps fail out of the box. Is it an ACDelco fuel pump?
