I was out with 2 pals and we were at the local park hanging around. I was happy until the dude I like passed us. I shouted hi and he just waved... It was all going fine until when he left and one of my pals thought she would run after him and tell him that I hated him and never wanted to see him again. And she also told him that the only reason I liked him was I just wanted to have sex with him.

That was totally not true and my pal just laughed at me when I got upset with her. The other day at work he said he was shocked at what I thought of him. I tried to tell him it was all a lie. It never worked. He said to me "you know what? Forget it." and he's dumped me. All over a stupid pal telling him a total lie.

How do I talk to him again and get a relationship started again? Please help me.

I'd ask your friend, who started the whole mess, to go clear it up with him. Then I would reconsider having a friendship with her. Who needs friends like that?

I would also wonder why he would believe something someone else tells him but he won't believe you. I'd ask him.

If after you have told him it wasn't true, and hopefully she tells him that she just made it up, he still doesn't believe you, then you might question whether he is what you want in a boyfriend.

Maybe after a bit of time he will think about it and cool off... see what happens.

You have some lousy pals, and a lousy boyfriend. But if you want him, let it ride a few days and see if he comes to his senses. Lose the pal.
