John deere rx 75 won't stay running, it just dies. Any thoughts?

Sounds fuel related. Dump the fuel, disassemble the carb and clean it. Check the float to see that it releases fuel when lowered.

Hi,
I believe that model has a fuel pump and it has probably failed.
