I have a Panasonic DMR-EH55 and I cannot get the dvd recorder to switch channels with its remote. I have tried all the setup changes possible. The connection from the Dish receiver is to IN3 in the panasonic. Can you help?

You can't change channels with you recorder because you have satellite. You can only record from IN 3 (the video input). You must change channels on your satellite receiver.

Some DVD recorders have IR emitters that can be programmed to control your Dish Network receiver. You will want to read your owner's manual for instructions on how to do this (if your unit supports it). Without seeing your DVD recorder it's difficult for me to give instructions.

Thank you FadedMaster , Yes, the Panasonic has an IR blaster and the Sat receiver has an IR sensor. So I will try to work with that. I had to use the IR blaster previously with Cox Cable and also had to use a cable splitter. If I can answer back ,I will let you know the outcome. Am new at this helpdesk.
