I have a GSL25JFPEBS fridge with door dispenser- the ice maker makes ice and the water WILL dispense, however, the ice dispenser does not turn/kick on when the button is depressed, what could be causing the issue?

There is a micro-switch in the door that turns on the dispenser. You will have to check it with a meter. If it's good then check the motor on the dispenser.
