I am a US citizen born and raised. I was married to a Peruvian who actually told me 2 weeks after we were married that he was not legal in this country. I then helped him with the paper work. We divorced 14 years later due to him cheating, hitting me and him walking out on me and our 2 daughters.
I am now dating a man who actually has told me he is not legal. I have heard that if I marry this man, I will not be allowed to help him with his paper work because I was already married to one Illegal Alien.
My first marriage ended due to my x putting in the papers. He had found someone else not me.
I finally found someone who is honest and I love and am being denied my rights as a citizen? How is this even possible. Is this information correct?
Please help.

Did the authorities tell you you can't help this person become a citizen?

I do not believe this is true, and of course getting married does not today, automatically get anyone citizenship. Next also, he is not being denied citizenship for this reason, since when was the last time he applied, how and when did he hire a immigration attorney and apply for citizenship before ?

Your first stop should be a immigration attorney, since I think you were given false info, but also you don't understand the new immigrtion laws
