I've just found out that I'm not able to do this in the way in which I had hoped, with Remote Desktop Connection.

I have a laptop and I need to connect to a PC elsewhere in the office (on the network) that is linked to a huge TV screen on the wall. I need to update Powerpoint presentations that it plays 24/7, a few times each day, so doing it remotely is best as I don't have easy access to the PC and it's quite far away.

The computer/TV screen with the Powerpoint files on it is just a functional account, that's basically all it has on it. I can remote access the computer from my laptop with the functional account details and see tits desktop/whichever file it is running... However when I do this, the computer/TV screen shows as logged out so I'm not getting a mirror image.

What I need to do is access that screen/account from my laptop and see my mouse moving around the TV screen. I don't know why's it's locking, please help

Hi D4WNO and welcome, I'm not the resident expert here, one will be along shortly, but I've been playing with a program called dropbox that may just let you do what you want.

D4WNO, we have a couple of similar setups in our office. I don't think remote desktop is going to get you where you want to be. At one point, we were using a program called MouseControl. It basically allowed you to take over controls of the remote computer once the client and server software were installed. All visuals still displayed on the remote system.
After using that for several years, I switched to LogMeInFree.(this can also be done with a Professional or Rescue account) I created an account and added all the computers that were attached to the televisions. When I pull up my LogMeInFree account, I can see all the computers I have attached to the account and select which one I would like to control. When making any changes or modifications, all actions are displayed on the televisions. More importantly, when I change the content I would like to display, it is on the screen and not locked out like the RDP session.
We are currently looking into a more sophisticated solution using Interactive Touchscreens software to display content from multiple sources on the screen (PowerPoint, Webpages, RSS, Stock Ticker etc)
