I am a 59 year old woman. I have crohn's disease which is well controlled. I am being treated for iron deficiency anemia. Over the past three or four weeks, I have had two 300 mg. iron infusions, plus twice daily oral iron. I am due to be re-tested for iron in four days. Last weekend, after my second infusion, I felt great. This weekend I feel weak again like before... lethargic, short of breath and a slight headache. I was pretty active during the past week since I felt better. Is this a normal pattern for recovery? Thank you for your help!
