Ok,

I have a ball style delta faucet that was leaking form the spout. So I went and bought a repair kit I put in a new ball and new springs and new what ever those little rubber things are called. Now I still have a leak and there is water coming out from around the handle as well. What have I done wrong, I can't afford a plumber to come out and do it I'm lucky that I have another shower or I would be screwed.

Thanks in advance.
Taylor

Sounds like you have trash preventing the valve from closing. When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on foe a moment to flush out the supplies? If not open the valve back up and remove the seats and springs, (those rubber things are the seats,) and flush everything out. Reassemble and test. Better now? Good luck, Tom

I tried this with no result I even went and bought another ball and seat kit and tried that as well. I could live with the drip if I could just get the water to stop coming out from behind the handle. Do I perhaps need a new "joint" that the ball fits into. It looks like it just screws out. If it's that easy I'll try and find one to replace it with.

1-8 is exactly like my valve but the rest I can't really see all that well.

Here is a link I made a video of my bathtub disassembled
