I have a honda accord 1999 my check engine light was on solid and out of the blue in random times about 3 times my car would turn off while driving. I took it to get diagnosed and both mechanics told me it was the EGR that it needed to be replaced so I replaced it. Well, after the mechanic finished and I was ready to leave the car turned off on me not once but twice. I was able to turn it back on and drove it back, well, the mechanic told me he didn't know and that I needed to take in the HONDA DEALER which honestly I hate going because they have repeaded me off. Why is my car turning off?? Please help! Any suggestions please let me know.

Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, located inside the distributor, should solve the problem. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM; otherwise, it won't last long.
