How do I calculate the treasury stock?
Silk Station has the following accounts at December 31: Common Stock, $3 par value, 1,000,000 shares; Paid-in Capital, $16 million; Retained Earnings, $11 million; and Treasury Stock, 59,500 shares, $3.0 million
common stock: 300000
additional paid-in capital 16000000
Total paid in capital: 19000000
Retained earnings: 11000000
Treasury stock:??
Total stockholder's equity:... need treasury stock to calculate
I thought to calculate treasury stock it was 59,500 x $3 = 178500. But I'm wrong.
