Hi Reddit!
On our Dutch school we have to make a bookreport/essay about a book. I've chosen 'Lord of the flies' and in this bookreport I need to compare the book with the movie, in an originally way. The main question of this book report is going to be: Which one describes the development of the main characters (Jack and Ralph): the book or the movie?
For me, as a non-Englishman, this is very hard to find out. Do you have any suggestions with motivations? Thank you!

Have you considered something like Black Book (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Book_(film)) which would be easier for you to understand?

Development of the characters at least to me when I was in college, was how the character was told about, what do we come to learn about them, Are we given background on them, do we get to see into their emotions. This should be obvious no matter where you are from
