View Full Version : Am I "friend zoned"?

I met this girl at a friends party. We had a little conversation but it wasn't flirty or anything. I was just mingling with everyone. She ends up tossing me a friends request on Facebook the next day along with a nice compliment. I follow up with an equally nice compliment and we begin chatting through text. It stood friendly for the most part, a tiny bit flirty. Anyway, we meet up a second time two weeks later at another mutual friends party. I was a bit drunk this time around, she wasn't. But we end up making out for a bit. I wake up the next morning to see that she sent me a messaging saying I was a fantastic kisser and it would be great if we can do it again some time, along with a Facebook status update by her saying that she had a wonderful time the previous night especially with "one person in particular".

To keep a long story short, I ask what she looks for in a guy and I fit everything except the "live locally" part. You see, she lives a few hours away from me. She said that long distance relationships aren't her thing. So, I'm confused.

I thought we kind of hit it off nicely but she kind of throws this curve ball at me. Do I just give up on her and consider myself "friend zoned" or what? I'm just confused, and very let down since I really like this girl. Any advice is appreciated.

Also, we haven't spoken since. I sent her messages a few days ago trying to spark up a conversation, but I would just get very short responses hours later.

It sounds like you are friend zone. Long distant relationship are not her thing and perhaps the making out thing was just a fling. I'd say leave her lone.
