Hi there, I was having problems with my Bosch Classixx washing machine not draining, so I cleaned the fluff filter and had a go at changing the pump. I didn't manage with that, so I put everything back together and tried a wash (the filter was pretty full of gunk, so I was hoping that that was the problem). However now the water is only coming in in very short bursts - I can hear it kind of clicking in the feed pipe, but the valve just seems to open and close very quickly - otherwise things seem to be going fine! I tried running the cold tap very slowly and blocking it to try to clear any airlocks there might be, but it didn't make any difference.. sigh - so much for home repairs! Any thoughts on what I could do now? Many thanks!

Check the water valves at the screens first, and if they are clean you likely have trash inside the diaphragm. You will need to disassemble the valves and soak them in vinegar or dilute hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid like Lime Away. There is a possibility of an open coil, too, but you can check that with an ohm meter. There is also a water level switch that attaches with a long hose to tub, but I doubt this is your problem, but it's possible.
