I have been having some problems with my right breast for about 3 weeks. The nipple is very, very sore, to the point I cannot sleep on my stomach anymore. There has been puss excreting from it for about 3 weeks. The nipple is hard, and the areola seems to be swollen and warm. I have tried a warm compress and hot shower. Nothing is helping and it is only getting worse. I have no doctor I can see and no insurance. Should I try going to the ER, or is this just smething that will pass eventually?

You need to go to the ER, or urgent walk-in clinic, and have it checked, especially since it is getting worse. Do not put this off. It may be an infection or something more of a concern. Letting it go, whether it is an infection or otherwise, can possibly cause more health problems for you, some very serious.
