Hello All,

I'm planning out my PEX system. I'd like to go with the Manabloc Manifold but they only come in one-sized distribution ports of 3/8" or 1/2". This presents a problem for me...

I want to run 1/2" tubing to my showers and washing machine, but all other faucets should only be 3/8".

My question is two fold:

Is it appropriate to buy a 1/2" port manifold, and use a reducer for the connections going to regular faucets?

And if so, where in the system should that reducer be? I imagine if its closer to the point-of-use, that faucet will probaby have pretty good pressure. But because I like things to have a professional and neat appearance, I'm tempted to put the reducer AT the actual port on the manifold.

Please advise,

Thanks in advance for your help,

Bobbito

Almost all faucets are 1/2", the stop may be 3/8. Run 1/2" and you'll be happier with the flow.

Agree. The inside diameter of Pex is actually a little smaller than copper or PVC. It is flow or volume, not pressure that you have to be concerned about.
