The toilet does not appear to be leaking (turned off water - no significant height decrease overnight).
When I flush the toilet, the water leaves the tank as it should, and the tank then refills again as it should but... when the valve shuts off (Korky 528 quiet fill valve) about 1/4 of the time I hear air flowing into the tank and it appears to come from the base of the valve. The amount of air also varies. I also watched a small amount of tiny bubbles enter the tank as the water filled but this air coming at the end has been driving me crazy for a while (months).
There is a second toilet in the house and it doesn't have this problem. Both toilets had new valves put in same day about 8 years ago - same valve model. This toilet probably has less overall use over those 8 years.
Any ideas? I can replace the valve is that will solve the problem but I am not so sure it will. Thanks in advance. I live in a community with "city water" but expect there is some sand in the water system.
