Hi,

I was involved in a case of drunken driving which resulted in an accident. As such there is no 3rd party incident and the court released me after a fine of Rs. 2000/- Till the case got disposed off, I was released on bail of Rs. 5000/-

I want to know the procedure for getting the bail amount back since my lawyer is demanding Rs. 1500/- to get back the amount of Rs. 5000/- which is highly unreasonable as you will agree.

If the local currency is Rs. whatever that means, I assume you are not in the U.S. But in the U.S. you don't get back the money paid for a bail bond. It's you cost for getting a bail bond.

Was this Rs. 5,000 the entire amount the court required to be posted for bail?
