The bank didn't sent me an 1099-INT for 2011 because the interest income is less than $10. Do I have to report that amount on my Federal tax return?

The bank said don't worry about it.

If the bank didn't send a 1099 you can leave it off.

You ARE suppose to report the interest, but the IRS is NOT going to hunt you down like a dog if you do not.
