Hi hq and welcome, If everything on the dryer is OK, it must be the power source, did you check that? Let us know and post the name and model number, OK?

If you did not totally tear down the dryer you didn't find all of the safeties. There is one behind the drum that requires you to remove drum to check it. Also, there is a switch on the motor. If you still have dirt in the system, as I bet you do, it will stop heating. You have to remove and wash out all air ducts, like the one where the filter is located and the one at rear of dryer, plus the exhaust vent and hose. Look at this: http://www.electrical-forensics.com/Dryer/ElectricClothesDryers.html
Hope this helps.

Thanks, guys! It works now. I had all cleaned up before but rechecked for any dirt again, found some by vent in front of motor. Re seated the new coil and thermostat connections and bingo! Only thing now is that I had to remove the "spacer" between drum and front part of machine because drum is somehow touching the spacer at times, during its spin. But it's working so far! Thanks again for the tips,"partime" and "drtom4444"

You are welcome to help any time. It sounds like you still have some adjusting to do, but dryers are simple; dirt is always a problem.
