I have the weed eater riding lawn mower 36 inch cut side discarge 13.5 motor bought a new battery put it in and nothing happened any ideas

Got a DC voltage tester? Test the voltage across the + and - terminals, what did it read? Turn the key while still testing, what's that reading?
