We went to turn on our Central Air unit this spring and only thing that works is the blower. This is a all outside unit it's a Nordyne Model: P3RD-036K

At first I thought might be something to do with the wiring to the t-stat so I took the t-stat off the wall and went outside to the unit and redid the wiring to the stat and still get the same thing. The t-stat will turn the blower on and off depending on the temperature and so on.

Next I checked all the wiring to make sure everything was hooked up and secure, the system was working in the fall before it was turned off. The capacitor's top is level and see no oil or anything on the side's of it at all. Next thing I did was to push the Contactor in manually and the Condenser Fan and Compressor both kick on like they should. Cold air was pouring at the vents inside the home.

So I'm at a loss to try and figure out what is wrong with the unit and why it won't power on. The t-stat is a battery operated one and I did put new batteries in it just in case that was the issue but still no change.

Also I forgot to add that last year the unit started to not turn off with the t-stat and we would have to kick the breaker anytime to turn it off. So I'm leaning towards it being the contactor even thou it works when pushed in because of how it worked last year.
