I'm sorry vuryeesilly, but your doctor was incorrect... at least in part. Of course it would depend on the circumstances and perhaps in your situation it would be impossible. For example, timing of the action would be a major factor.

While sperm will not survive long out of ideal conditions, if going directly from the penis, to hand, into vagina, it could be possible. As I mentioned, it would not be the most efficient way to become pregnant, but given the right conditions, the possibility is there.
