I am 33 and my husband is 39. We have a 7.5 yr old son. We always wanted a second child but with an age gap of 6 years. But last year my husband said as there is rising expenses and he is the sole working member it will be difficult to have a second child. We had lots of discussion about this. But he didn't changed his decision. Now I long to have a second child.

What is the question? How to decrease expenses and increase income? How to persuade him to have another child?
If he's worried about money, you could get a job. Your other child must be in school during the day.
It's a bad idea to persuade someone to have a child when that's not what the person wants. Lying about it and going off birth control is even worse.

You have 2 solutions:
1) Take up any job and start earning because your husband is right that the second child is not a good idea if he is the only person earning in the family. I respect his thoughts because if you together cannot give better future to the child then no point in planning for that.
2) Don't plan for the second child and have a cute pet instead. This will fulfill your wish up to some extent and you would realize it soon that your decision was correct.

With all due respect "having" a cute pet and "having" a child are VERY different things.
