The other night me and my girlfriend engaged in some sexual activity, an afterwards I noticed a vein like bump on the lower part of my shaft that moves when I touch the sides but doesn't hurt at all. Its really bothering me and I don't want her to see it. Will this go away soon? Thanks

Veins come out of your skin from every part of your body as long as it's wet after taking so much stress. Like that for instance, you just had a very intense activity with your girlfriend but you shouldn't wet your penis so that veins won't come out.

I don't understand this advice. The OP shouldn't wet his penis. That way he veins won't come out.

I don't even know what that means.

Please explain.

What?

Could you write that again, because this post makes no sense. Are you saying that the vein is popping out and will as long as it's wet? But, if his penis remains dry the vein won't pop out?

That makes absolutely no sense. None of your post does. An explanation is definitely needed.

Yes, apparently a dry penis during intercourse would solve the problem.

That's what I'm getting from this.

That's the way I read it too. Which means that Stella has no idea how sex works.

My concern is that there is never any follow-up. I see a lot of quasi-medical, incorrect, sometimes dangerous advice, questions which remain unanswered, advice which remains posted.

This type of advice hurts everyone.

(With enough friction and no lubrication I wonder if either or both parties would burst into flames, sort of like building a campfire.)

There's no follow up, and no concern about what she/he is doing to the people that she/he is responding to.

Stella has posted very dangerous advice. You and I have both posted, asking her to post her sources, and asking her to stop diagnosing etc. But our posts are never addressed.

It's like a hit and run. See a question, post horrible advice, and never return to see the aftermath. The ratings speak for themselves. I have to spread the rep, so I know I'm not the only one giving her much deserved reddies, nor are you. So far Stella is at -11, and I'm sure the number would be higher if everyone could rep every post that was harmful inaccurate advice.

I am beginning to believe/understand that there are other factors at play here. This person is 28, not 13. Spidey senses tingling!

Yes, the ratio would be very different if the "helpful/not helpful" rating didn't basically lock up and, yes, posts were pulled.

I've been at this since last night, and it's gotten no better.

I don't believe that it being wet is the reason, after a few days it started to go away and today I didn't notice it at all, but I'm afraid that if I do anything again it will pop out. I wish their was a way that I could understand why this was happening so I could stop it, any ideas?

One of the things that can cause veins to pop is increased blood flow OR blocked blood flow.

We did you a disservice - the "wet" advice is very bad advice and should be totally disregarded, if not removed.

You asked a serious question and the answers were all over the place, not what you wanted or needed to hear.

The thing is though it wasn't blue or purple it just looked like a vein like thing that was portruding up. It was the same color as the skin on my penis but it was shaped like a humungo vein

On the under side? I think you will find that it's pretty much normal. If it really bothers you, go to a doctor and talk to him. I don't think it's much to worry about though.

It was on the lower part of my shaft but it was on the top of my penis, like if you looked straight down then you would see it clear as day. It got bigger one day but after awhile of doing nothing it seemed to go away.
