I aborted a six to seven weeks pregnancy seven months ago. I have been having normal menstrual periods for seven months. This month my period was normal, but my stomach was bloated and had shortness of breath too. I was put on ciprofloxacin and tinidazole tablets while menstruating. After one week, I experienced movements in my stomach in form of beats then the following day I started to menstruate and its been two days now. The bleeding is not heavy. My question is: what could be causing this and is my condition life threatening?

You need to see a Physician. No one can possibly diagnose this without seeing you.

Shortness of breath is dangerous.

Tinidazole is used to treat parasites. Ciprofloxacin is used for infection. You were placed on both only when you have your period?

Why does the Doctor think you have a parasitic infection?

Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole tablets were given to me for bloating because the doctor believed shortness of breath was caused by bloating. I was menstruating when I went to see the doctor.

Seems to be more to it than just what you believe the doctor told you, those do not seem to be just for bloating, but something is causing the bloating. Yes you need to get back to your doctor

Am I understanding correctly that you had a normal period and then started to have bleeding again a week afterwards? Do you have any pain, similar to menstrual cramps? Some women with ovarian cysts can experience bloating and irregular bleeding. The bloating may cause some shortness of breath.

Are you still experiencing bloating and shortness of breath?

I agree with the others. I would go back to the doctors if you are still having symptoms. It would be unusual to be put on the medications for bloating when a cause was not determined.
