Hello.
I went to the OB/GYN a few weeks ago to get my first pap smear. The results were normal. The next week I got a severe sinus infection and was prescribed Augmentin. About three days later, I noticed some light red discharge from my vagina, and then two days after that I realized the antibiotic had given me a yeast infection. It was the worst yeast infection I've had in a long time. I started Monistat 3-day treatment and it was feeling a lot better. Then I started my period earlier than normal (I'm on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo), but that happened last month, too so I wasn't too worried about it. Today is March 13th, and I stopped the Monistat on March 8th, and I ended up using 5 doses because I was still taking the antibiotic. I am currently having the light red bleeding again (in fluorescent light, it looks bright red; in natural light it looks brown), up in my vagina though. It never comes down to my pad. Nothing smells funky, and the yeast infection cleared up for the most part, I'm still kind of itchy. I'm worried about the bleeding. I don't know if it's still part of my period, and just isn't making my way down and out my vagina, or if it's something else. I've never had an STD and my pap smear was normal. I can't get into my obgyn until next week and if I continue to worry about this, I will make myself sick.
Please help if you can.

YOu might have a severe Yeast infection and you might need a prescription to Diflucan - a pill, PLUS I would recommend using a Probiotic too that contains Lactobaccils acidophilus.
I hope this helps, thank you
