My laptop recently needed a factory restore done to it (i.e. The other day) and now my touchpad on my laptop doesn't work as it had done before. Now if I try to click on something it doesn't work with tapping so I have to click and it really infuriates me... is there anything I can do to change it?

I was also wondering if it was possible to regain some of the stuff that was deleted? I've always heard the saying that things are never really deleted so I was wondering if it was true or not... thank you in advance :)
