My son is 3 months old and is teething. I want to start putting him in his bassinet and teaching him to self soothe himself. He cries uncontrollably, will it be bad if we let him keep sleeping with us? Or what can I do?

You need to self soothe that baby yourself.

Teething rings. And if you start giving him food instead of milk stick to cold mashed food the cold helps soth the gums. And Cody's being a jerk. Having a teething ring will help it might take him a few days to learn to grab the teething ring when he needs it but he'll learn. I've been raising my godson since he started teething he is almost two now an learned how to soth himself for teething cause he knows that the only thing that helps is the ring I know it sounds like training but that is exactly what people have done for years and the baby's eventually learn this just like how they learn how to hold their bottle or roll on their bellys just a milestone

No, it will not necessarily be bad if you still have him in with you. If you were interested, you could try putting him in his bassinet right next to you so that you can still reach over to him. While three month olds can often self soothe, and can be given the opportunity for a short time to see if they will, teething is painful for baby and it is a time when he will need your help more.
When he is hurting, is not the time to try and encourage self soothing. Better to wait until he is not in pain. He is learning to trust that his needs will be met.
I agree with Rachelrang in that teething rings, and the like, can be helpful for some babies. Others find teething pain remedies, such as gels or powders work well. However, I disagree with the comment about CodyR and also in regard to foods. Many people feel the same as CodyR, and it is now recommended not to introduce solids this early. Certainly many babies will eat solids early on, but their digestive systems are not fully mature yet to handle them properly. Nutritionally there is no need and takes from what they would get from their breastmilk or formula.
