I am walking through the forest and come across a man that had hung himself what does this mean?

Dreams are a way to sort out your life, and probably other functions not known yet, such as keeping the brain alert in case we need to wake up suddenly to danger, or keeping memory pathways working. All we do know is that if we deprive people of dreaming they go crazy and hallucinate.
I suspect that the man hanging is related to something you saw or heard recently. Just in the last week I saw old pictures of war hangings, lynchings in the South, ads on TV for products for hanging objects on the wall. Maybe someone said I want to kill somebody while someone else was rubbing his neck. There is no single 'meaning' for a dream past what it means to you.
