Hey All,
I live in Northern Canada and I've been having some troubles starting my car in the morning when it's -20C to -40C outside.
I've also been plugging my car in and it still doesn't start on some days. (most days)

Does anyone know how I can check if my block heater is even working?

There any lights somewhere or something I could check?

Thanks

Use an infrared thermometer, point it at the engine block, and check its temperature. I would use full synthetic oil, if I lived in Northern Canada. Amsoil 5W-30 (ASL) pours at -51 degrees C and Mobil 1 EP 5W-30 pours at -47 degrees C.

Great stuff.
I'll give that oil a shot.
Thanks!
