I have been seeing this guy for 3 months. We have an amazing connection. We got very close very fast. We met each others families over the holidays, and he frequently would say things like I am so lucky to have you, you are going to get wifed up if you keep this up, You warm my heart.
So he recently had to go out of town for work for a little over 2 weeks comes home for a short amount (~1wk) of time when this happens and then has to turn around and leave again for 3 more weeks. In this time while he is home he tells me that things are only going to get harder before they get easier and he just can't make up his mind right now. That he feels that we are in a place where he needs to either **** or get off the pot and he just doesn't know what he wants. He tells me that I am everything he wants in a women and if he were to make a list of what he was looking for I would have it all but he doesn't know if he has enough romantic feelings to make it work. He tells me that he doesn't know if he is always going to feel this way and there's no telling what the future will bring. He tells me its not fair for me if he continues this when he doesn't know what he wants and it is only harder the longer it goes on. He says he can't imagine his life without me and he wants to be friends.

I am so confused and I don't know if this has to do with him needing time to think about things or if it is just too much with his work right now? Or if he really doesn't want me in his life anymore. Any advice would be helpful

It's just his polite guilt-free way of saying it's over. He's done with you and wouldn't want anything more from you. NEVER EVER agree to remain 'just friends', he'll just use you that way.

Girl I am sorry to say, but the best thing for you to do is to break up with this guy.

Sounds like you really like him because you wouldn't be confused after he told you that he wants to be just friends. In the span of 3 months, can you say that you can't live without him? If no, then let him be. You have a life to live. Don't get too attached to him because he will just take you for granted if you continue to act as if you'll wait in vain just for him and that you'll do anything for him.

You have to think about yourself and move on. If you really love him, then just make him think that you've move on but give hints that you're just there for him if he ever wants someone to talk to or someone to hang out with. Sometimes, making men feel jealous will make them come to their senses. If you just act subtly like there's plenty of guys out there that would be the happiest to be with you, then you'll eventually make him jealous and make a better effort on making you happy. Well, that's just wishful thinking, I guess.

If a guy is not sure, he's not a keeper.
