I have a 3 faucet system.. hot cold.. diverter I'm thinking it is a price fister about 20 years old. Problem was I had a leak so I decided to replace washers in both of them.Shut off water supply removed stems replaced washers put back together turned on water supply and water was coming out of faucet like I was getting ready to take a bath even after shutting faucets off. So thinking one of the valve stems was bad I decided to replace hot... cold... and diverter stems. To no avail I had the same thing happened when replaced all three stems water coming out of faucet like I was getting ready to take a bath... HELP!

Sounds like yo may have used the wrong washer or installed the stem wrong. When installing the stem its important to turn the knobs counterclockwise as if you are opening the water before you snug down the packing nut. http://www.ehow.com/how_2215822_install-stems-leaky-bathtub-faucet.html

Thank you so much as this has solved my problem I guess that's what happens when they don't give installation instructions when they sell you the stem... again thank you so much!!
