Hi, I have a quick question, I'm trying to replace my "total line" thermodynamic with a new " hunter" thermodynamic. I think I have the wires set up correctly... But I have one extra wire that I can't find a home for. When it was connected to the " total line" it was labeled " CK2". I went through the total line manual and they call that connection a "dry contact 2" connection. I can't seem to find a similarly titled connection in the hunter paperwork. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.

The ck2 on the totaline is a dry contact relay that operates extras or add on to the system. Humidifiers, duct fans, uv lights or air cleaners things like that. Not knowing what the circuit runs is just a guess of what to do with it. The thermostats are set up to open and close the ck2 at certain times, temps or modes.

Thanks t-top. Any idea what I should do with this extra wire then? Is it necessary or should I tape it off? Thanks

I would assume the wire is doing something But what is hard to say. If you cap it off the system should work fine, unless it controls a vent damper motor or duct zone damper. If it is needed in the control of the system it will not work with out it. Just to let you know I have seen drive way light controlled from the ck2 circuit.
