So my friend decides to take my phone and play with it for awhile this was fine by me because he's my friend and I know he wouldn't steal it or anything but then my substitute notices this and takes the phone away which didn't upset me too much since I knew I could get it back after. 10 minutes before the bell rang the substitute jumps up and yells wheres the phone! I freak out and start asking him where he had left it and he says it was on the desk which was currently not. After school I walk back to his class and ask for my phone and he just says to me in a straight voice "I don't know I left them on the desk" and I walked away.I figure it was still in the classroom somewhere but I'm pretty sure he was to lazy to look around which he did no effort to do whatsoever so I decided I'm ganna wait until Tuesday for my phone and I'm really pissed. Can someone please tell me what I can do to the school board, Can I sue them for this or something like that?

My advice is to stop playing with your phone during class, especially if it is an english class. Your post is written at a 3rd grade level. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.

No, you can't sue. The sub is going to claim that someone stole it. Talk to school security or principal.
But the bottom lone here is you shouldn't have let your friend play with the phone during class.

No you can not sue because the phone was being used improperly. Sorry you learned a costly lesson, don't let friends have you phone? If anyone has to pay for the phone is it your friend. Since he was using it improperly and had it taken away.

You did, I assume, call the phone in the hope that you could hear it ringing?

AK lawyer Being in school and all I keep my phone on vibrate :( but I did call it when I got home and if someone had it they would have taken the sim card off or sent it to voice mail, so I think my sub just misplaced it.
