Yes it's expected.
See if you can join an exercise group for pregnant women. If not, do them at home. One that is key is pelvic tilting while lying on your back, and swinging one leg over the other. Soak in hot tubs, and use a heating pad. Do lots of walking. Take prenatal vitamins and eat a high fiber diet with lots of 'roughage' vegetables like fresh broccoli to keep your bowels moving each day. There's competition going on in your lower abdomen now. Avoid all the junk foods, like fries and white bread and sweets, and start eating brown rice and fresh steamed veggies. Cut down on red meats and have a little egg, fish, or chicken. DRINK fluids, weak watered down ones, no colas.
Basically diet, exercise, low stress, good sleep (extra pillows under your back, knees, side, whatever works).
