View Full Version : Why is my man ignoring me?

This is probably a question for the men. My man and I have been and living together a year now. I moved into his apartment. Before I moved in he was self sufficient, in that he was taking good care of himself, the apartment, responsibilities, bills etc and working. I moved in (didn't and don't need to work as I'm financially secure). Because he was out working I chose to take care of all the house chores (everything), happily and very well. We both go 50/50 with all the bills, rent and days and nights out.

The other night he comes home and has a go at me for not emptying the garbage (recycle, paper bin)and tells me he shouldn't have to empty it as I'm at home all day. I say OK I'll empty it the following day and anyway I do everything else, he doesn't have to do anything. I'm here every day for him when he comes home for lunch like he asked and have his lunch on the table and sit with him like he asks. He then tells me he didn't ask me to do the chores and not to bother doing anything. I say I'll empty the bin if he likes and he can do the all the other chores in the house. He hasn't talked to me since and that was 3 days ago. I still do the chores and don't mind but he won't talk to me. Can anyone make sense of this because he's acting like I've done something really bad?

We are always going to get bored of the same thing and want more. Let him wipe his own @$$... it seems like you are his mother instead of his partner. He works, great, you go half and half with monetary means. Need to go half and half with the rest of the things, it seems like he is bored that he has nothing to do, so give him some chores. Don't be submissive especially in front of this controlling and maybe a little machoist man, he will only push harder. Time to stop being so nice.
