I need some advice on what to do and if this is normal or severe?
I have an appointment on Tuesday but this just can't wait, for some reason I have been waking up really wet down there and through out the day I have been leaking a clear fluid to the point where I have to use a panty liner. Its not a lot but its enough to make my underwear wet, I did Google it and it said I could be leaking amniotic fluid, I'm not sure if this is normal or not and if there is anything I should do because I am almost 30 weeks so I know at this stage its possible that something could be wrong, is there something I need to do? Like I said its not a lot and its not constant its off and on.

Hi trinetteandjon... by now you have seen your doctor or midwife. What did they have to say? It can be normal to have some more discharge at different stages of pregnancy, but it would not be normal to leak amniotic fluid at 29 weeks. Many women will feel more wetness and it can sometimes be difficult to know if it is just pregnancy related vaginal discharge or if it is amniotic fluid. Often times a leak in the membranes would result in a slow trickle, or drip. It would usually be more frequent than off and on, but of course it is always wise to have things checked when something new is occurring.
