I had several patents assigned to my former employer and an 18 month non compete agreement. I was terminated without being provided cause in March 2007. I did not compete with my former employer for 18 months following my termination. I also sued my former employer for breaking the contract with me over wages and money to be paid me if I was terminated. I was owed about $200K and got $60K. After our settlement and agreement that I could only use my engineering knowledge and experience to perform work for past clients. I was hired by the USAF to assist them in maintaining equipment designed by me to reduce cost of procuring new replacement equipment which my former employer is attempting to sell for $9.4 million dollars. His claims that the equipment originally sold is beyond economic repair and is of 1998 vintage. In his attempt to stop me form sustaining the USAF equipment he is claiming that I am using proprietary information in my possessionm to make repairs to equipment sold without repair information. He is also claiming that I am reconstructing the origially sold equipment. All these claims are untrue. I have had 1 unit with a loose cable tightened (this was easy to find as I instructed USAF personnel to open the unit and look for loose cables). 1 cable was tightened. On another unit we used comparison measurements between a working unit and failing unit and found an amplifier not producing required gain. This was replaced. Bottom line is this prior employer is lying to allow him to sell an additional $9.4M in unnecessary hardware.
What can I do to stop this intimidation where legal scare tactics are being used to stop me from performing a vital service to the USAF?
Thanks in advance for your kind coinsideration.
