Hello,

Please I need your help.I have a external hard drive 250GB WD,but it's not reading in my laptop. The problem is in the hard drive when you put USB ( I think we can call USB CONECTOR)there are 5 wires and one of them has been cut by accidentally, so I think this is reason why is not working.
So please tell me what should I do.

Thanks in advance.

Those USB connectors are cheap. Look for a replacement that fits your portable hard drive.

Oh I see. It's the place where the cable connects to the hard drive enclosure? If that's the case you may have to remove the HD from the enclosure and slave it to a desktop or find another hard drive enclosure to use.
