My shower is not draing at all I haven't tried any thing its about 3 inches deep in the tub.. Is there anything I could do with out having to buy something? Black stuff came up to what does that mean?

Is there anything I could do with out having to buy something It's kind of hard to fix something without the tools to work with. Do you have a snake? Back to you. Tom
