Ok, so my girlfriend and I are sexually active, and she has been on Seasonale since May, and recently had a moderate to heavy period (1/21-1/25) we had sex on the last day of her period and she started taking her pill the next day. However, she unintentionally took a double dose on her first day of her new pack. Her OBGYN said that would not be a problem, and she continued to take her pill on time each day. She has been experience moderate breast and nipple tenderness since 2/1 and now we are both concerned that their may be something more to it. I have read that people can still get pregnant during their period if they have sex during a period. I've read you do not start to feel breast tenderness until week 4 at the earliest of a pregnancy, so can someone PLEASE give me some straight answers? I have three questions: 1. Is it common for breast tenderness when on Seasonale? 2. In the event of pregnancy is it possible for her to have a moderate or heavy period BEFORE having breast tenderness? And 3. Is there anything else I should be looking out for?

Breast tenderness is pretty common when you are on the pill, you can get all kinds of symptoms, migraines, nausea and breast tenderness, cause of the change of hormones. And you can always get pregnant on your period, even thought your b.c. protects you during those days. On the pill or not, your period doesn't make it impossible for you to get pregnant.

The issue with Breast tenderness is it is a symptom for dozens of things.

To address pregnancy. No birth control is 100 percent, so even a 99.999 would mean one in 10,000 chance of pregnancy, if people had those types of odds to win the lottery they would be lined out the door to buy tickets. People spend 1000s on lottery with one in a million or more chance.

Also yes she can get pregnant any day of the month, so on the last day of her period, yes it is possible.

What you have to do, is wait till next month and see if she misses her period or not, that is often the first sign of pregnancy
