I have an outside pole that is 3 phase. I have a building that used to have a machine shop in the basement. They needed a lot of power. I own the building now and there is a problem I need to resolve. From the pole outside there are two "lines" one running to the basement. And the other to the building that is a wood shop. I don't need the power to the basement.and want to take out the massive electric boxes that are in my way. The house side is powered by the electric form the shop side. What can I do?

Wgalan,
Have as much or as little of the service removed...
My concerns would be anything in the basement you might need such as heat, sump and/or sewerage pumps
And at least minimal lighting (emergency lighting as well)... don't create a hazard...

If this was mine I might consider removing everything back to the main panel and meter (it sounds like the basement might have it's own utility meter) and then in the future you will have a space available for lease or expansion. Of course I might change my mind if the equipment is dated and should be replaced anyway.
