Chances are slim to none that you could become pregnant in this manner.

If it happened exactly how you said it did, no, you can't get pregnant that way.
TraceyAnn14
Feb 6, 2012, 07:06 PM
That is exactly how it happened and I'm sure my hand was dry.. I think I may just be parinoid :/ are you positive...
Yes. I am a women's health nurse. I'm positive you can't get pregnant that way.

All right so Friday I gave a guy a handjob... I tissued off the ejaculation.. And then about 7 minutes later I reached down and touched myself without even relizing it.. It was with the same hand.. I'm on birth control for the first time and Friday was past three weeks. I took my first sugar pill today.. And no period yet. How long does it take for you to get your period while on the sugar pills.. And I also took a test this morning. It was negative but only 4 days after Friday.. But I also took a test that can tell before your period.. I don't know if that applies in my situation.. Do you think I am over-re-acting.. Please help me.. And in an honest way. I'm seriously scared. Pregnant? :|

You already asked this question yesterday. Reposting it and asking again will not get you any better answers than you already got.
https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/pregnancy-new-motherhood/calling-out-women-experience-help-633871.html
Also, I've looked through your other posts that you've made. It seems like you've got some sort of paranoia constantly going on over possibly being pregnant and it seems you're only a freshman in high school. You are too young to be having sex and if you would stop doing it, these worries of yours would go away.

Its my first month of birth control and tomorrow will be my third sugar pill... I started getting discharge today but no bleeding? Should I expect it soon.. I'm nervous because I gave a guy a hand job wiped it off but only with a tissue about 5 minutes later touched myself.. Can't get pregnant and just extremely nervous.. I take my pill every day around the same time on week days but not werkends.. :| scared out of my mind.. Don't know that much about birth control.. My doctor didn't explain much. :/

Can't get pregnant as in too young
Too young to get pregnant? If you are getting your periods you are not too young to get pregnant. However, from the experience you described above, there is no way you can get pregnant.
mamaof2boys
Feb 9, 2012, 08:02 AM
You have already asked this question twice and have already been told you cannot get pregnant that way.

And birth control does not work if not taken properly. If you're not taking it on the weekends you might as well not take it at all.

So Friday night I got caught up in a moment.. And ended up giving a hand job.. I was on my period and had a tampon in but he touched himself and started touching me (he only pre ejaculated a tiny bit) around and slightly in that area. I still bled Saturday and it today's my 5th day on my period and should be ending soon... I've been on birth control for exactly a month and haven't missed a pill.. I know it was dumb and I'm continuing to learn for my mistakes. I've cried a lot and I don't think I can be.. But I need a second opinion.. A women with experience. Please.. I'm driving myself nuts..

Studies have shown that there are tons of sperm in male pre-ejaculate that CAN impregnate women. If he got some of his pre-ejaculate inside you deep enough, then yes, you could possibly get pregnant. It also depends on your cycle. Women who have shorter period cycles than other women can get pregnant near the end of their cycles easier (due to their cycles being shorter and possibly more irregular)
But in your best interest, if you are really that worried, I would go get Plan B if you want. However depending on when this happened the Plan B is most effective the day AFTER usually, and the longer you wait to take it, the less effective the pill is.
I'd still make an appointment with my family doctor or go to a clinic, but seriously, you should be fine. Sperm isn't really magical and can't leap from your hand during the hand job and him simply touching you. (Unless he intentionally ejaculated and then forced it inside of you) You really shouldn't be too worried.
TraceyAnn14
Feb 12, 2012, 09:13 PM
Well sadly I can't afford plan be and it wasn't like an explotion.. it was like a few drips... and do you think my birth control is in effect? I didn't miss a day and my period was still very strong yesterday...
LittleBlackKat
Feb 12, 2012, 09:46 PM
Birth control is designed to work and work pretty damn accurately. I'm 99% sure you're fine, although I don't know you in person. A few drops are nothing really, although there have been cases when a few drops is all it takes.
I'd just keep an eye on my cycles, as well as changes in your body (i.e. breast tenderness, bloating, etc) then see a doctor. I honestly think you're fine though, but I can understand your worry
Best of luck to you, and next time play safe please

Thank you so much and even if it was only my first month do you think its effective by then.. and how early should I test? Do I have to wait till my next period?

Yes, you have to wait to see if your next period comes.

I am on birth control I'm a catholic.. I'm really young and can't have aa child and I have faith that god won't do thst to me
LittleBlackKat
Feb 12, 2012, 10:36 PM
Well if you're Catholic, you also have to think to yourself and bring yourself to account each day. You have to look and think: Am I prepared to have a child now? Am I financially stable and ready to bring a new life into a home such as my own?
Not to be rude, don't take this offensively, but judging from you saying you can't afford Plan B I'd say you are NOT ready to become a mother
Please take more caution next time you are having a sexual encounter. For yourself, as well as a potential future life.
pearl_mysty7
Feb 12, 2012, 10:37 PM
You can't blame God for that when it happens because we're the ones who enjoy it and done it.. but the God has a plan for you.. how old are you?
J_9
Feb 12, 2012, 10:39 PM
I am a catholic as well. I got pregnant using both birth control pills AND condoms. Luckily I was married at the time. This happened to me not once, but twice. My boys are now 26 and 24 and they have since given me grandchildren.
It has nothing to do with God. Trust me. I didn't think God would give me cancer, but I had cancer.
If you aren't ready to be a mother, stop having sex, or any form of sex.
pearl_mysty7
Feb 12, 2012, 10:39 PM

LittleBlackKat
Feb 12, 2012, 10:51 PM
No, we don't think you have an STI, but if you're already worried about unplanned pregnancies, the next step basically is STI's. I know it because I have a friend who has Chlamydia right now, and I see how miserable she is day in and day out, and I DON'T want it to happen to anyone else
TraceyAnn14
Feb 12, 2012, 10:55 PM

Feb 12, 2012, 10:57 PM
I can assure you, you're not pregnant.
You'd know in a little over a week if you were. I've had tons of friends who were pregnant, and they knew right away-although everyone is different.
I'd talk to my doctor or parents about it, in all honesty. There's not a lot we can do for you online

LittleBlackKat
Feb 12, 2012, 11:11 PM
If you're in high school, go to the school nurse or a guidance counselor. Depending on how old you are, if you're 16 and older, you're legally considered an adult, so you can keep the information and conversation with the nurse and guidance counselor strictly confidential-unless your life is at stake, which it's not
They'll just give you better advice on protection for sex

When does birth control actually stop ovulation? Are you still protected on your week of inactive pills?. People say it takes one month but really if you take your pills everyday would you be protected my the end of the third week? How can it stop ovulation and you still have a period.. TraceyAnn, please only post your question once. It can take hours to days to get responses as we are only average people who volunteer our time here to help others.
Now, with that said... No you are not protected during the inactive pills. It is common to say that it takes a month for protection to take place because there are so many pills, with different hormone levels, it's just easier to lump it together. And, it takes a month because that's how long it takes the hormone levels in the body to adjust.
I also want you to remember that the pill is not always 100% effective even if you take it the same nanosecond every day. Although I am a nurse, I am also one of the women who took the pill exactly as prescribed AND used a condom. I got pregnant this way not once, but twice.

When does birth control actually stop ovulation? By the third week of active pills do you think there effictive? Are you still covered on your week of inactive pills. If you don't miss a pill at all on your first month are you covered the week of your inactive pills? Does alcohol and caffine really effect them that much? And if birth control stops ovulation how do you get a period? Please help answer these. My doctor won't take the time to. And did anyone ever get slight breast enlargement during your first month? I know it's a lot but I really need answers. Experiances can be told to. Thanks

Hi TraceyAnn14,
What birth control pill are you taking? While many suggest being on the pill for a full month to offer the highest protection, often you are protected quite well after the first week of regular use. You are covered during your week of inactive pills as well.
Different pills work slightly differently in preventing pregnancy. Some will prevent ovulation, some will change the lining of the uterus or the consistency of your cervical mucus. Alcohol and caffeine will not effect your pill. Some women don't continue with periods while using some types of pills, some will have irregular periods, but most will have periods during the use of the inactive pills, or the last week of pills (which aren't really birth control pills) if using a 28 day pack. Having a period at those times is how it is designed.
You can still have a period because the pills are the same hormones that your body produces during your cycle. The levels of hormones are different in such that it fools your body into preparing for ovulation while either not actually ovulating or causing changes so that if you do ovulate, and an egg becomes fertilized, it won't usually implant. When you take the inactive pills, the drop in hormones causes your period.
Some physical changes can be normal. Slight breast enlargement and some weight gain can be common.
Hope that helps!

Feb 13, 2012, 07:47 PM
In general you need to completely take the first month and start the second month to be in the "safer" period. Of course you do realize no form of birth control is 100 percent, so even when taken exactly right, there is still a change of pregnancy, a small chance but still a chance.
If you miss any pills during the month, it will slightly increase that risk. So if you are not wanting to get pregnant, please also always still use condoms for additional safety.
The weight gain is normal

Hand jobs and pregnancy rarely occur.
I was taking the pills, the shot wasn't "invented" back then. How did it happen twice? I don't know. But I've even got stranger stories for you than that. I finally got my tubes tied and haven't had a problem since.

So here it is.. On Friday I gave a guy a hand job and he may have leaked a little and I seriously mean just a little. He started feeling me down there. I had a tampon in so nothing really went in there.. He tried to but only stuck his finger in like 1cm. On that particular day.. I was on my 4th sugar pill. And bled 3 days after that too.. That was my first month of birth control too:/ people have tild me its effective, some say no, some say your protected on your sugar pills, some say no. I'm confused and scared. High chance of pregnancy or no? I feel the same as before all this happened. Don't feel pregnant at all but its only been 5 days after that night. Could you know by then?. Please help.

Feb 15, 2012, 07:24 PM
TraceyAnn14,
You have a very low chance of pregnancy for a several reasons. 1) there was no ejaculation involved 2) you were on your period 3) you had been taking birth control pills for a few weeks and 4) the delivery method (his finger after a hand job) It would be too early for you to know at this point.
You are considered protected on the sugar pills. Most women who use birth control pills use them as their sole form of contraception throughout their cycle. Certainly pregnancy can happen, but when used correctly, birth control pills are quite effective for most women.
As was said, you are usually protected after the first week, but many suggest using another form of protection for the first month to be even safer. It would actually be wise to use another form of birth control along with the pill all the time. It can depend on which type of pill you are using as well. Since you had been on them for a few weeks, that would make the odds even less for a pregnancy.
You will have to wait now until your next period is due and see what happens. But try not too worry too much. I know that is not easy to do, but you really do have a very low chance of being pregnant.
Here are a few sites that will hopefully ease your mind a bit more:
