Check under the refrigerator and see if the coils are blocked with dirt, which it probably is at least dirty. If they are dirty remove rear cover and blow out and wash out with a spray of water from water hose until clean. Spray cleaner on the coils and keep water out of fan motor, but clean fan blades well. Vacuum up with wet-dry vac. To make ice and initiate cycle the freezer has to reach a certain temperature. If coils are dirty it will first stop making ice then burn up compressor and you will have to replace refrigerator when all it needed was for coils to be cleaned. I always would take the unit outside and thoroughly clean it inside and out and it was then like new again. Most people let it get so dirty that it burns up. It should be cleaned every six months at a minimum. After this is done put cover back on rear or it will not work. Check the plug on the water valve, first. Then take a glass of water and pour in ice maker tray to get it started and put thermometer in freezer. It has to get to zero F for ice maker to work. DrTom4444
