My boyfriend committed a feleony, it was robbery and got sentenced a boot camp for 90 days then parole. This was a few days ago, yesterday.. His sister calls me and tells me that they tried to deport him but couldn't because his dad is a U.S. Citizen. Basically my BF had residency which got taken away when get did the crime, so they tried to deport him and a woman called his mom and explain this. Is this correct or what will happen ? His dad came here illegally and paid A LOT of money to get his papers and his kids. He was under 18 when his dad became a U.S citizen. So did this save his a$$?

Let me add. He just turned 18 last year. So more than likely his father was a U.S. Citizen before he turned 18. Because when he was around 15, his dad kept taking trips to the Immi. Office with his kids.
My BF, He has been in the U.S. Sense he was about 5 years old.
He had his green card before the age of 18. I remember him getting residency around the age of 15.
Does this mean he is a U.S. Citizen so they can not deport him? How do I know or figure out ANYTHING?

No negative responses please. Thank you.
