I think a boy just asked me out and I really don't want to go there.

I'm 15, but I'm small and I'm still rather childish. I'm really not ready to go out with anybody, and I haven't even physically matured yet. I haven't even began to notice boys in the romance way; I think of them as friends.

Our choir has a conductor who's 18, and he invited me to his party. I only went because his sister was there, and I'm friends with her. But then now he's talking to me and joking with me so much, I've already began feeling uncomfortable. Today, he asked me out to lunch sometime, and I told him I wasn't free because I simply wasn't, but then to my surprise he tried again. I told him I'm nearly never free to go out for leisure, but I suggested that he could talk to me at lunch in school if what he wanted to talk to me about wasn't long. I was really shocked when he said he just wanted to hang out and take me to the police club. I told him again I wasn't free, but I'm starting to think that he may be asking me out in a romance way, not a friends way. This makes me feel so uncomfortable.

Please help me! I'm really really not experienced with this relationship stuff.

Nicely and politely turn him down. You don't have to say why, but you can say you just don't see him that way, and leave it at that.

Just say no thank you. After a few times, he should get the idea you are not interested.

Say "thanks so much, and that sounds like fun, but that you can't go becauae your parents won't let you date anyone that is more than 2 years older than you. but that you hope he has a fun time with out you, and that you'll se him around. Then, smile and say "bye!" and walk away. Easy. Good luck!
